Policy Statement:
To maintain operational efficiency and ensure responsible handling of stored items, 4 Crew has established the following policy regarding unclaimed mail:
1. Notification Period
Customers will be notified via the most recent contact information on file when mail remains unclaimed for 3 months. A final reminder will be issued prior to the 4-month deadline.
2. Holding Period
Mail that remains unclaimed for a period exceeding 4 months from the date of arrival will be considered abandoned.
3. Disposition of Unclaimed Mail
At our discretion, unclaimed mail may be:
• Returned to sender (if return information is available),
• Properly disposed of, or
• Donated, if applicable.
4. Liability Disclaimer
4 Crew is not liable for the contents of any mail disposed of after the 4-month holding period, provided reasonable notice and effort to contact the recipient has been made.
5. Extension Requests
Customers anticipating delays in retrieving their mail must request a written extension prior to the 4-month expiration. Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis for up to an additional 30 days.
